CHRISTMAS AT THE HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY MUSEUM

Host your Christmas party at the Household Cavalry Museum, a new event space in the heart of Westminster, which has already hosted a wide variety of events, including private dinners, product launches, drinks receptions, garden parties, barbecues, gala dinner-dances and a charity auction.

For the first time ever, Lemon Drop Events will be installing a pop-up venue on the Parade Ground for Christmas breakfasts, lunches, drinks, dinner and dancing. The marquee at Horse Guards will be available for a twenty-one day Christmas run, with profits from all events going to the up-keep of the museum, which curates and records some of the most historic pieces in English history, as well as to the charities of The Household Cavalry, an active duty regiment.

There is no better place to celebrate Christmas than in the historic and prestigious surroundings of the Parade Ground at Horse Guards. Whether you are planning a relaxed reception or a lavish sit-down dinner for clients, colleagues or friends, allow us to pamper you and your guests in our custom-built and beautifully decorated event space.

Please view our brochure, which outlines a variety of packages - including all-inclusive Christmas breakfasts, lunches, standing receptions and dinner dances.

About the Venue
  • The marquee will be clear-sided and boast views of St. James’s park and the back of Downing Street
  • Two Household Cavalry members will flank the entrance in full regalia as guests arrive
  • Cavalry members will then come in to the reception later to mingle with your party and entertain them with stories about life serving as The Queen’s official life guard
  • The marquee will be pre-decorated in festive style, though you may wish to adjust the décor for other types of events, including gala dinners, receptions, award ceremonies and other festive celebrations such as Hanukkah.

Décor
The space will be dressed in beautiful tartans in a palette of green and red, inspired by the military history of the Household Cavalry, creating an atmosphere that is cosy, intimate and festive. The homey, yet stylish feel will be finished with leather furniture and candle-light to add a flamboyant twist to a traditional Christmas.

The space will feature a traditional tree with twinkling lights, decorated with toy soldiers, in keeping with the prestigious past of the venue and will be surrounded with beautifully wrapped gifts.

While the venue décor will be of the highest finish, the highlight will of course be provided by the clear panels in the structure affording panoramic views of the Admiralty Buildings, the Parade Ground, Horse Guards Parade and St James’s Park.
